The 2013 BET Awards was recently televised live in Los Angeles on June 29th, and once again they never failed to entertain their audience and viewers with great performances and special guests. Many celebrities in the building were dressed to impress especially those who embraced their whites and nudes; perfect for this season, alongside with some bold and bright colors for eccentric looks. Some of my favorite looks were from musician Ciara who sported a black leather two piece Saint Laurent strapped bandeaux with a matching tight fitted skirt. And also Lala Vasquez who accentuated her curves in a purple fitted long sleeve dress with protruding shoulder pads for sophistication. And of course musician Janelle Monae with a crisp all white pants suit, always staying true to her own personal style. So many other starts showed up dapper and flawless in preparation for an amazing show. Take a look at several other celebrities' outfits from the red carpet below!
Kesh is a young and talented woman from the UK, but lives in Los Angeles as she does photography, paintings, and designs. I've been following this lady and her blog since 2010, and I must congratulate her on all her success. She has been recognized in so many areas of her career, and now she has collaborated with American Apparel and created her own line. She used her bold asymmetric theme from her paintings, dabbled with shapes and graphics, and her recognizable collection was developed. The style of her pieces are very versatile and uniquely styled with numerous garments. Check out photos from her collection below.

I'm baaaaccccckkkkkkk! Greetings readers, I know my absence has been crazy, but I've been on the grind. We all know every time I take a break from blogging it's usually due to my massive work load, staying focus, and crazy work hours. But I have a lot to share with you all that I am so excited to talk about. I just completed my second year at Spelman College, and I'm on my way to my junior year. Wow, time is really flying, but I ended up finishing my sophomore year really strongly with all A's and one B! I am also an official psychology major now, and I founded an organization on my campus that is now registered. It is called Spelman Filmmakers' and Journalism Association (SFJA). I plan to make this organization a brand with a team full of students who are inclined in many areas of the media industry such as: directors, cinematographers, script writers, journalist, editors, and reporters. We also invite students who are photographers and web designers. I want to create a space for these students to construct their own work that is competitive, while they find opportunities in this industry and network. My goal with this organization is to build a network, and also help students find jobs, or their own pathway in the media world. All summer I've been working on different things to get prepared to launch the organization in the fall when the school year begins. I am also a published fashion journalist for TBA Magazine, and I've written several articles about designers and different stories in the fashion industry here in Atlanta. This summer I was also given the opportunity to intern at Radio One, I was also a personal assistant to boutique owner India Monae. Many amazing things have been happening for me, and I am beyond blessed to continue to strive as an artist in the media and fashion world, and stepping closer and closer to my dreams. You all know I will definitely continue to keep you all updated on every aspect in my life. So I know you guys know that I take plenty of pictures wherever I go, so check out some photos from these past few months with my friends and family. More to come soon!
