The Path To Success Is Not As Far As We Think..

Whattup homies? Precious here, sitting at home on a sunday night. But it's sunday right?! Lol, I'm from Houston, and this particular sunday there's a BIG college football game going on tonight, TSU vs PV. And there's going to be a lot of after parties as well, people dressed to impressd. And to top it all off, there's no school tomorrow because of the labor day holiday. So people are going to be partying allllllll night. Lol. However, I decided to stay in tonight, make brownies, and watch movies. Boring right? Ahh, but it gives me time to catch up on the important things in my life.
Anyways, I have some really cool things I would like to share with you guys. I know most of ya'll have heard of New York fashion week, well little do you know Houston has its own fashion week as well! And a lady that goes by the name of, Shauntala Joshua, who used to work at my highschool is working Houston fashion week, and is putting together a highschool event showcasing teenage designers. I thought to myself, "how perfect is this??!!" A woman that I am familiar with, is working with an event that I would love to be a part of! To cut a long story short, I contacted her immediately, and worked out some details for the show. How exciting right??!! Ahaha, you guys be on the look out for that :)
Next exciting news, I'm a senior in highschool, and that entitles us to get things ready for prograd, which is a big event after graduation for all the graduates. And in order to have a fun and successful prograd, the seniors must enlist in many events to raise money for the shindig. And one of our major money makers for prograd is our fashion show. My eyes litted up when hearing we were going to be having one, because the word fashion show isin't new to me, but it still gets me excited. Luckily, from all my recent acheivments in the Houston fashion world, my name was already at the top of the list to help with this show. The lady organizning the show, Angela Glass, contacted me immediately to talk business. I was super excited and grateful to be given another great opportunity. I want to help make a lot of money for our senior class and put together a great show. So I plan to help organize, model, recruit designers, and design some garments of my own for the show as well. I will definitely keep you guys posted of this whole process, and definitely advertise my garments to you all as well.
Lastly, I'm in the Media Academy at my school, and we have a project coming up where we have to create and direct a 90 second movie. When thinking about the details for the movie, I came up with a brilliant idea! The movie would be about a girl organizing a fashion show, and trying to get it ready for Houston Fashion Week. Despite all the drama and complications that come along with it i.e. time management, rivalry sabbatoge, etc. (sound familiar?) Lol. And within the movie, it would feature designs made by me!! And not only will they be my designs, it will be the same designs I plan to have in our prograd fashion show. So I will be advertising my garments, and promoting the fashion show at the same time, all in one movie. Brilliant huh? Ahaha. I think it's going to be great, and with the right steps taken, greatness is what I shall receive.
Well, I know I've written a lot here, but I had a lot to share. I hope you guys are excited for just as much as I am. And just like I promised, I will keep you guys updated. Adios for now.. :)
